The Fjala Publishing House was created as an imprint branch of the prestigious Dudaj Publishing House (www.botimedudaj.com)

Fjala Publishing House was mostly designed to meet the needs of the Albanian readership for a specialized academic literature, essays and reputed authors of fiction books.

The publications are grouped as follows:

Historical books which include important works from important scholars of Albanian history, such as Oliver Jens Schmitt, “Das venezianische Albanien 1392- 1479” (Oldenbourg Verlag GmbH, München 2001), and “Skanderbeg. Der neuer Alexander auf dem Balkan”, (Verlag Friedrich Pustet, Regensburg 2009), Gilles de Rapper and Pierre Sintes, “Nommer et classer dans les Balkans” (Ecole Francaise d’Athene-Athenes 2008), Nathalie Clayer and Xavier Bougarel, “Les musulmans de l’Europe du Sud-Est. Des Empires aux Etats balkaniques” (Editions Karthala- Paris 2013)

The series on Albanian authors will soon start with the book by Ardian Klosi “te Kundercjapi”. The book with the interviews to the international well-known writers by the journalist Rudina Xhunga.

The European fiction is represented by some very well-known authors of world literature, including the Nobel prize winner Alice Munro with three books “Dear Life”, “Too much happiness“, “Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage”, the European prize winner, the Portuguese Maria Dulce Cardoso with “O retorno”, Javier Marias with two of his best books, “Los enamoramientos” and “Un cuor tan blanco”, Jonas Jonasson, Daniel Glattauer with “Gut gegen nordwind” and “Alle sieben Wellen”, Goncalo Tavares with “Jerusalem”, Adriana Lisboa with “Sinfonia em branco” etc.

American Fiction through Douglas Kennedy “Dead heart”.

Children Literature as “The adventures of Tom Sawyer” by Mark Twain and “Pampa blues” by Rolf Lappert.
